Attention anglers: New Mexico’s license year began April 1, and that means it’s time to renew your fishing license. Crane fly larva and egg patterns and a trailing flashy baetis were reported to be the hot flies. The stretch below Abiquiu is fishing slow. High dam release has made wading here tough. The river is somewhat clear. The river above El Vado Lake was stocked with 351 triploid rainbow trout last week. The river below El Vado Lake was stocked with 279 triploid rainbow trout last week.
